Lucas has been potty training for the past week and a half. He's in pull-ups now and lets us know when he needs to go. Finally, yay! He has gotten quite a few really good rewards including a really expensive Thomas engine, a night out at Chuck-E-Cheese and some other toys. I'm willing to give him just about anything to have him fully trained ;)
Lucas has a girlfriend, Maya. They are so cute together. She's a little bossy but he needs that as she seems to encourage him to try new things like sledding. They go to school together so they see each other a few days a week. After school, Lucas usually tells me about his day with Maya and tells me that he missed her if she wasn't at school that day. I'm friends with her mom so we also see the two of them playing together on their days off school. They hold hands and play really well together. The other day, at an indoor playground, the two of them went to the dress up area and Lucas put on a Bob the Builder hat and some funny headphones. Maya came by wearing a tiara, a bunch of necklaces and bracelets and a pair of high heels and asked her mom for help to put on a dress. Once the dress was on, she announced to everyone that she was marrying Lukie! They ran around the playground telling people they were getting married and to come to their wedding. She's 2 and Lucas is 3. So cute! See their wedding photo below.
MELIA Update
Melia has been sleeping through the night since she was 2.5 months old so we moved her out of her little basinette in our room and moved her into her crib in her own bedroom about a week ago. Plus, she had outgrown the basinette. At her 4 month doctor's appointment, she weighed 17 lbs, 4 oz putting her in the 97th percentile for weight and she was in the 95th percentile for height!
Melia smiles a lot and laughs quite a bit these days. She's a happy girl.
So far, she's seen 2 movies (Stars & Strollers) with me - 1) Little Fockers and 2) The Tourist. She was great during both movies. She was quiet, sat on my lap and seemed to be watching the big screen. Hope this lasts as I haven't seen many movies over the past few years!
