We drove out to St. Thomas, Ontario near London where a special guest was making a rare appearance - Thomas the Tank Engine! It was was an actual Thomas engine pulling a few old-fashioned passenger cars that visits different stops around North America. It is only here for 2 weekends, so we went out to ride on him along with our friends Christian, Anne, Torren and another family. Lucas had a fun time but seemed somewhat stunned that he was actually seeing the real Thomas in person as well as Sir Topham Hatt. We also bought some overpriced but hard-to-find Thomas goodies. Lucas even got a tattoo of Percy! Things got a little rough in the play area where they had toy trains set up, with Lucas grabbing other kids' Thomas trains...but it wasn't as bad as the scrap that broke out between two other kids which involved fists flying and metal trains hitting foreheads. But all ended well and we finished the trip with lunch before heading home. If you have a Thomas lover in your house, we recommend heading out to it if Thomas pulls in again. Toot! Toot!
