School concert

Last night was Lucas' first ever school concert. The school's 2 branches had to hold this event in a high school in Pickering because of the number of family members who wanted to see their little ones sing on stage. It was so cute. We weren't sure if Lucas would cry once the curtains opened and were prepared to run up and get him if he did. But ... he was so good.

During the first song, he stood and sort of swayed from side to side during the national anthem. He even seemed to know some of the words to O Canada. The second song was alright but there was a tall girl in front of him so we weren't able to see much of him. He did manage to stick his hand out from between the two kids in front of him and wave at the audience. When the curtains opened for the third song, we saw that Lucas had his favourite bib neatly placed on top of his head. It remained there for the enitre song. It was hilarious!

We had such a great time at this concert, especially since we didn't even know that Lucas would be up on stage. Apparently, the kids had been practicing these songs for this concert for some time. It was so much fun and soooo cute. We can't wait for the next concert!
